Still waiting to hear from the surgeon on the gallbladder. In the meantime, I took my first walk in the pool. Between taking the solar blanket off, walking 20 lengths, and putting the solar blanket back on, I worked for about 30 minutes. The water is about 74 degrees, still a bit nippy, so I went out at about 1 pm while the air is fairly warm but the walking lane is shaded. I am totally jazzed about having the pool now!

More evidence that soy may reduce breast cancer risk - including soy in diet from teenage years could offer best chance of protection.

I just got back from having lunch with the women in my Bible study. Afterwards, I dropped over to see my hair stylist. I was sort of worried that she wouldn't recognize me, but when she saw me from across the shop, she ran over to hug me. She has had 5 lumpectomies herself (all benign) and has a lump right now that they have been watching for almost a year now. She was thrilled to see me and she told me that my hair is looking great. She said that it's coming in so nicely - even all over the head. She said that doesn't always happen. I asked for her opinion on when I would need her services and she said 8-9 weeks. So we went ahead and set up an appointment for February 22, 2001. Isn't that cool? Yeehaw!

I have to admit that Monday, I bought myself one last "hat" to wear for the holiday season. I'll have to see if I can get Rick to take some pictures of me in my glorious headware.
