Saturday, January 27, 2001Treatment of Heart Failure. An interesting review of the current practices in handling CHF. I saw my cardiologist on Thursday, and he is very pleased with my progress. He started out by asking if I was having any trouble breathing (I'm not), but rapidly shifted gears when I told him I had worked up to swimming/walking a mile in the pool. He increased my target heart rate zone so that I can exercise a little bit more vigorously. I'll have a repeat MUGA scan in April to determine if we're holding even, and his final words to me were: "I have a feeling it's going to show that you are doing very well indeed." Indeed!!!!!
